Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was sentenced to five years probation and 30 days of jail time on Thursday following a multi-car crash last year, according to the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.

When it comes to NFL players creating mayhem and/or causing injuries while driving, there is precedent. When it comes to NFL players street racing on a city highway among and around other cars in broad daylight on video, there is no precedent.

The Kansas Chiefs are awaiting a likely suspension from the NFL for third-year receiver Rashee Rice for his involvement in a six-vehicle crash in March 2024.

Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years probation in exchange for a guilty plea, according to ESPN. Rice could still face a suspension from the NFL.

The star receiver, now entering his third NFL season, also received five years’ probation for the 2024 car crash.
