A future Michigan State hockey player has been selected by the San Jose Sharks in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. Max Heise was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the fifth round of the NHL Entry Draft on Saturday. The Sharks used the No. 150 overall pick to obtain Heise's rights.

Michigan State hockey commit Eric Nilson has been selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the second round of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. Nilson -- who is considered a center -- was picked by the Ducks with the No. 45 overall pick.
