Steam Deck users get a bunch of new features, and rival AMD handhelds like the ROG Ally and Legion Go S get an official SteamOS installer.

Initially, that's the Lenovo Legion Go S, the first partner handheld to ship with SteamOS, and which is releasing imminently. This handheld has full support, while there is "expanded support" for other handhelds, including the Legion Go and ROG Ally.

Valve has a solution for you. A big new update to SteamOS, the operating system powering handheld Steam Deck gaming devices around the world, dropped this week, and it brought with it the ability to install the specialized OS on competing devices.
