The Paramount name began winding down in 2007 when CPDT was reincorporated as CBS Television Distribution (now CBS Media Ventures), and then in 2009 the network arm was rebranded as CBS Studios after CBS' license to use the Paramount name expired.

The logos made their debut on TV screens on May 29, 2006 (Memorial Day) on that day's run of syndicated daytime programming from the company and spread to network shows on June 11 when season 3 of the USA Network original series The 4400 premiered.
