DreamWorks Animation (often referred only as DreamWorks and formerly DreamWorks Animation SKG) is an American animation studio company based on Glendale, California.

DreamWorks Animation was given its name in 1998. This version was only seen in the original VHS and DVD releases of Shrek 2 on November 5, 2004. A new logo was created after Comcast acquired DreamWorks Animation. It is now a unit of NBCUniversal.

Visuals: A print version of the 2004 logo, which consists of the moon and kid on top of the rainbow word "DREAMWORKS", in its corporate font, on top of the royal blue text "ANIMATION SKG", underneath a dark blue line.

Trolls (2016): The logo is sped up, the "ANIMATION SKG" byline doesn't appear under the 'DREAMWORKS' text, and shortly after it gets done, a purple background page turns with a drawing of the boy on the moon. Stars appear one by one, and the letters drop down all together.

As with the following logos (DreamWorks Television, DreamWorks Interactive), the logo is immediately modified, with the background clouds removed, "ANIMATION SKG" appearing in between the lines, and the boy and the moon appear above the text.
