Thaedus is the overarching protagonist of Invincible, serving from Season 2 and onward. He is the first Viltrumite to ever betray the empire, as he assassinated the first Viltrumite Emperor, Argall, and founded the Coalition of Planets to combat and stop his own people's expansion.

Invincible was smacked away easily by Thragg. He was then punched by Kregg and thought of a plan that would turn the tide in the battle. He tasked Space Racer with firing his gun, while Thaedus took Invincible and Omni Man in order to destroy Viltrum.

Thaedus explains that he was the first to successfully rebel against the Empire (alluding to Argall's demise), and after hearing of Invincible's feats, he orders Allen to bring Invincible to him so that he can meet him in person, as he believes he is the key to finally achieving a swift victory in their war against the Empire.
