Sep 18, 2018 · It seems like Mike D and Ad-Rock of the Beastie Boys found out about Eminem’s album cover for “Kamikaze” when everybody else did. For those who are still not aware, Eminem’s album cover pays homage to the Beastie Boys’ 1986 classic, “License To Ill.”

Revival: The album is pretty good and underrated, however the cover is the definition of MID. Kamikaze: Good, angry, cool album. The cover - middy mid MTBMB: Not such a great album, but a very creative cover.

The Kamikaze edit is top tier. As well as the MTBMB cover, it feels like a genuine additional cover. (So much so that it was even featured in the Tone Deaf lyric video on Eminem’s channel at the 3:30 mark)
