From Italy to France to Switzerland, countries across Europe are grappling with the issue of the 'Burqa Ban'. Italy’s ruling party, the Brothers of Italy, is pushing a bill to ban burqas and niqabs in all public spaces. Under the proposed legislation, violators could face fines ranging from $350 to $3,500. In April 2011, France became the first European country to implement a ban on full-face veils in public areas. However, some countries, like Afghanistan, have made wearing a burqa a religious
