Did you know that there are four species of lynx? The bobcat, Iberian lynx, Canadian lynx, and the Eurasian lynx. The Carpathian lynx (Zsa Zsa’s species) is a subspecies of the Eurasian lynx, which is the largest of the four. In the wild, these lynx are known to prey on hoof stock and small mammals. This subspecies is native to the Carpathian Mountains and prey on deer, wild goats, smaller rodents or birds. They have to watch out for predators like wolves, wolverines and larger cats where their populations overlap.
