Retinitis pigmentosa, autofluorescence imaging findings: the ring of hyperautofluorescence denotes the area of retina that will die next as the disease advances posteriorly. It's important to note the absence of pigment migration "bone spicules". Despite giving the name to the disease these are not critical for the diagnosis.
