The shells are now being rough edge sanded, so that they can be cut to size. This removes all the glue and makes sure there is a flat surface against the saw fence. The operator sets the saw fence to a half inch over the shell height, and cuts. He then adjusts the fence and flips the shell to cut the other side. The Drum is now ready to get its bearing edge! .
