Arizona QDROs Divide Pensions and Retirement Plans in Divorce

It’s called a QDRO (Qualified Domestic Relations Order). A QDRO tells the retirement plan how to divide a 401(k) or pension after divorce without triggering taxes or penalties. Just saying “we’ll split the account” in your agreement isn’t enough. The plan won’t divide the account without this order.
