Auctioneer @tom_eddison sold Andy Warhol’s ‘Four Pink Marilyns (Reversal Series)’ for £4.3 million in tonight’s #SothebysLondon Contemporary Evening Auction, presented in partnership with @celine. Executed in 1986, the work captures one of the most conceptually charged moments of Warhol’s late career — a spectral reimagining of his own legacy and Marilyn Monroe’s enduring icon, repeated only four times in negative register.
